NBA 2k17 game update has brought “easier greens on high shots
The Flashback Friday campaign in NBA 2K17 delivered 10 new players to its MyTeam collection on Friday. Headlining the new wave is the 1997 version of the Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Johnson and 1967 version of the Golden State Warriors’ Rick Barry. According to tweets from “NBA 2K17’s” gameplay director Mike Wang, the newest game update has brought “easier greens on high [percentage] shots.”

In an interview with Bryan Wiedey for the Sporting News, “2K17″ gameplay director Mike Wang and gameplay producer Scott O’Gallagher spoke about how they can fix Curry. “Generally, taking deep shots, 30-35 feet, or shooting in traffic, or shooting off the dribble, we naturally penalize those things,” said Wang. Barry is already in the Hall of Fame and his status as one of professional basketball’s greatest small forwards is secure. While it’s good to see easy, open shots being rewarded, some fans say the game is becoming too easy now, and 2K Sports is constantly changing things. Johnson had his best statistical season during the 1996-97 season. He averaged 20.1 points, 9.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds. He shot just under 50 percent from the field (.496) and knocked down a career-best 44 percent of his three-point attempts. He’d never shot more than 37 percent from three in any previous year. It was one of only two seasons in his 13-year NBA career that he’d even made more than 30 percent of his long-range attempts.
